Celebrating the New Year’s Eve is hands down one of my favorite holidays!! It closes the end of the year and regardless of your beliefs, faith, spirituality, or what country you live in, there are celebrations to ring in the new year. It seems as if for this one “night” the entire world is counting down together with high hopes and excitement for the year ahead. There is something magical about that to me and the energy that surrounds it. It has always been something I look forward too!
There are so many traditions and superstitions regarding how you bring in the new year, but I feel that it is important to look and feel your best personally because it helps to set the “tone” for the year to come. So I’ve decided to put some looks together to help you prepare for your NYE occasion, so you can bring 2019 in with a BANG!
I kept my looks easy and budget friendly this year with the pieces I’ve curated because that has essentially been my year as a mom, lol. It has been busy AF and I love affordable looks that look and feel good without breaking the bank. I also love investing in trendy pieces that are versatile and can be re-worn. So, lets take a look at this year’s NYE outfit inspo and get to shopping!
Classic Glam Girl
I love the simplicity of a pairing a classic dress with beautiful jewelry and topping the look off with cute shoes! I found this velvet dress at Target, and I am IN LOVE with the color and how comfortable it is to wear. Everything I paired it with are pieces I already had within my wardrobe (like my Betsey Johnson D’Orsay pumps I wore on my wedding day) so I found some very similar items to help you complete this look.
This dress has a very flattering and forgiving, elastic waistline and I found it fit a little big so I sized down from regular size to an XS. It is flattering for any bust size and could be nursing friendly as a faux wrap dress too! You may need a little help with some fashion tape in the bust area to secure the girls (love fashion tape!!) but with the budget friendly cost of this dress you can certainly swing for some to help perfect your look. 😉
Thank you Target for being this girls BFF this season and always!
I love how cute and trendy this look is without needing much to accessorize. You can never go wrong with a simple black skirt that goes with EVERYTHING in your wardrobe. I paired it with this beautiful, cropped, chenille sweater that is in this rich emerald color. I found both of these great pieces at H&M and snagged them up!
The skirt is high waisted and sits very high so it pairs very well with a cropped top like this sweater that hits perfectly so not reveal any midriff. I would likely size up from a 4 to a 6 to give myself a little more length (personal preference) but it is TTS.
Both of these affordable pieces could easily mix and match with other closet staples. Top the look off with some statement earrings like the ones I found at Target, a small clutch and you’ve got yourself a cute NYE ensemble!
The boots and clutch pictured are older pieces I already had so I linked up similar ones to help shop this look. This momma loves to re-wear investment pieces and get the most bang for her buck!
Edgy Trend Setter
This was hands down my favorite look! I love how cute and trendy this look is without being too over the top.
I loved this skirt so much I paired it with another glittery, knit top I found at H&H and tucked it into the high waisted skirt to give it a more finished look. I added some glittery tights for warmth and well, cuteness-duh!! They have just enough silver glitter to not be too much and pair well with the top.
I LOVE these booties I snagged at Target a couple of weeks ago and how easily they can change up any look. I love how they take this dressy look down just enough to make a girl approachable and a bit edgy (insert emoji with sunglasses here).
I used the same black, statement earrings for this look as well and pulled my hair up in a ponytail to show them off some while also reinforcing the chill factor of this party packed outfit. Let’s jam NYE!
